Follow Bryan Adams Castillo as he went through his tests on the Canon 50mm lenses for the DSLR and the Mirrorless camera.

For the most part, the RF version of the 50mm lens would certainly win over the DSLR nifty-fifty equivalent. That said, it also largely depends where the images are to be used. If it is on social media, the reduced resolution would definitely makes the extra sharpness from the R system redundant and for that the cheaper lens is enough.

And Bryan did show that if you do a bit of post-editing, the shots from the cheaper lens actually works quite well for the most part.
